Tonight’s Full Moon: A Moment to Pause Under the July Sky

Tonight, the Full Moon graces us with her steady, glowing presence, illuminating the July sky with silver light.  In all her glory she is giving us a reminder to slow down, look up, and breathe.

This month’s Full Moon, known as the Buck Moon, marks a turning point in the summer season. Traditionally, it is named for the time when deer grow their new antlers, a symbol of strength and renewal in the natural world. It’s a quiet reminder that growth is often unseen but constant, nothing stops growing does it? Although often we fail to see growth until we shift our focus. It is when we turn back to reflect we see just how much has been silently blossoming.

So, What does it mean?

Full Moons quite symbolically represent "fullness" and release. Whatever intentions you set at the New Moon are now coming into fruition. Therefore tonight means it's an ideal time to:

Reflect on what has been growing in your life
Acknowledge what is ready to be released
Celebrate how far you have come

Even if you don’t follow lunar practices, you may notice you feel more emotional or energized during a Full Moon. I have certainly been feeling some strong and rather rebellious emotions over the past few days. This is a perfect evening to let ourselves pause, journal, or simply sit outside under the moonlit sky.

How to Connect With This Full Moon

If you want do a little more than journal or just absorb the moons energy, you can also try...

 - Taking a moonlit walk – let your senses tune into the world in the quiet.

 - Charge your crystals or water - Pop them into a bowl of water and leave them out to re-energise

 - Make Moon Water - Leave a bottle of water outside and enjoy a moon charged water in the morning to add a spring to your step!

 - Enjoy some gratitude meditation - for what has blossomed for you this year so far.

Most importantly remember...

You don’t need to do anything grand to honour tonight’s Full Moon. Simply looking up, breathing deeply, and letting yourself feel connected to the vast sky above can be more than enough.

If you feel like everything feels stagnant tonight’s moon is your reminder that nature moves in cycles, as do you. Change is always coming whether we want it or not, and that is exactly where growth comes from - So embrace change and grow with it.

Wishing you a peaceful Full Moon night.
